In high-stakes AI, KPIs must reflect three things: impact, safety, and adoption.
A simple KPI set
- Impact: time saved, burden reduction, consistency, throughput
- Safety: incident/escalation rate, error patterns, drift signals
- Adoption: usage, completion, user confidence, opt-out reasons
A maturity cue
If KPIs can’t drive a product decision, they’re not KPIs—they’re decoration.
